Annemieke Janssen passed her final exam (thesis defense) and became the 34th Ph.D. from the Xia group on 6/20/2022. She will be working for Intel at Hillsboro, Oregon.

Xue Wang (a former visiting Ph.D. student) recently accepted a position of Assistant Professor in the School of Energy and Environment at City University of Hong Kong, starting January 2023.

Jacob Jeskey, a Ph.D. student in the Xia Group since 2020, recently received the William Emerson Best Second Year Seminar Award at the CHEM Graduate Student Research Symposium at Georgia Tech.

Yifeng Shi passed her final exam (thesis defense) and became the 33rd Ph.D. from the Xia group on 10/18/2021. She is doing postdoc at UC Berkeley.

Ruhui Chen (a former Ph.D. student) recently accepted a position of Assistant Editor-Chemistry in Wiley’s Shanghai office.

Minghao Xie passed his final exam (thesis defense) and became the 32nd Ph.D. from the Xia group on 7/13/2021. He is doing postdoc at UT Austin.

Ruhui Chen passed her final exam (thesis defense) and became the 31st Ph.D. from the Xia group on 7/6/2021.

Quynh Nguyen, a Ph.D. student in the Xia Group since 2020, recently received the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.

Legna Figueroa-Cosme (a former Ph.D. student) recently accepted a position as Process Development Scientist at Amgen Inc.

Zachary Hood (a former Ph.D. student) was recently promoted to a staff scientist in the Applied Materials Division at Argonne National Laboratory.

Haoxuan Li (a former visiting Ph.D. student) recently accepted a position of professor in the College of Textile Science and Engineering at Jiangnan University.

Jiawei Zhu (a former visiting Ph.D. student) recently accepted a position of professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Jiangnan University.

Zhiheng Lyu passed her final exam (thesis defense) and became the 30th Ph.D. from the Xia group on 10/23/2020.

​Tong Wu (a former visiting Ph.D. student and postdoc) recently accepted a position of professor in the Institute of Neuroregeneration and Neurorehabilitation, Medical College, Qingdao University.

Tung-Han Yang (a former visiting Ph.D. student) recently accepted a position of Assistant professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan.

Ming Zhao (a former Ph.D. student) was recently selected to receive the 2020 Sigma Xi Best Ph.D. Thesis Award at Georgia Tech.

Dr. Yadong Yin (a former Ph.D. student from the Xia group and now a professor of chemistry at the University of California, Riverside) was recently selected as a fellow of the Materials Research Society (MRS).

Yifeng Shi, a Ph.D. student in the Xia Group since 2017, recently received the James F. Simmons Fellowship in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at Georgia Tech.
