Dr Qin is the site director and principal
investigator of NSF supported National
Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NSF-NNIN)
at Washington University in St. Louis. As a
member of NNIN, Nano Research Facility (NRF)
is keen to develop unique technical
expertise and provide excellent service to
the nanotech community in support of future
responsible development of nanotechnology.
NRF at Washington
University in St. Louis cultivates an open
and shared research and education
environment that brings researchers across
disciplines together, particularly in the
emerging area of nanomaterials with
applications in the energy, environment, and
biomedical fields.
NRF includes a micro- and nano-fabrication
lab (clean room), surface characterization
lab, particle technology lab, and
bio-imaging lab. NRF at Washington University in St.
Louis provides unique technical expertise,
specifically in: Knowledge-based
synthesis of nanostructured materials;
Particle instrumentation tools for toxicity
studies; and Non-invasive imaging
modalities for nano and biological
applications.
